Job Description

Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The Staff Accountant plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day accounting functions, including general ledger maintenance, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and compliance. This position offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with multiple departments and contribute to the overall financial health of the organization. PAY- 70K to 75K


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments to the general ledger.

  • Reconcile bank statements and balance sheet accounts monthly.

  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.

  • Maintain and update fixed asset schedules and calculate monthly depreciation.

  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes as needed.

  • Analyze financial data and prepare reports for management.

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies and controls.

  • Assist with the preparation of audit schedules and respond to auditor inquiries.

  • Help monitor departmental budgets and spending.

  • Participate in special projects, system implementations, and process improvements.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • 2+ years of accounting experience (public or private sector).

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle).

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
